I just bought this one to replace a Hans which went out before a year! This ia great! This is my first wide screen so its really big! It's like looking into a tv screen. Setup was a breeze, plug it in and turn it on. Great product.

Very solid monitor. Excellent color reproduction and response to tweaks, if you are so inclined. I wasn't happy with the 60 mghz refresh rate, but honestly it is difficult to tell any difference in a high end monitor I have running at 75 mghz. Save some $$$ and still get a great picture. You'll love the 22'' size if you haven't had one before. Very good deal and a quality monitor. Enjoy!

I bought two of these and they both came a day early (along with my new 9800 GTX video card, too) and they both were perfect. No dead pixels - nothing but 48 inches of total righteousness. I can't think of a more product I've bought in recent times that has this fantastic of a ''bang for the buck''. Dual 22 inch monitors on my recording rig is the ultimate in productive and non-frustrating sessions. Beautiful. If you're looking for accurate color reproduction for print, these ain't yer target monitors. For almost all else, they are.
The reviewer below commenting about the 60Hz refresh rate - those count little to nothing in the world of LCD's as they don't truly ''refresh''. It's the response time that you should be concerned about for LCD's. Less than 8ms is acceptable to the human eye. 5ms is great, 2ms is awesome.

You can't beat this monitor for the price. going from 17 to 22 is a BIG difference. One dead pixel on arrival. only noticable on black screen. no big deal. Great performance.
What Is A
VESA Mount?
A VESA mount is one that has been designed to be compatible with the Flat
Display Mounting Interface (FDMI) Standard. The standard defines all
aspects of the mount dimensions and characteristics, to assure full
compatibility between compliant TV manufacturers and the manufacturers of
compliant or certified mounting hardware.
Remember, if you are looking to mount your monitor or TV on a VESA compatible mount or stand, check the individual product specificiations to make sure it is a VESA Mount compatible device!

VESA? VESA
is an organization that supports and sets industry-wide interface standards
for the PC, workstation, and consumer electronics industries. VESA promotes

TechTip:
Cleaning Your LCD Monitor or TV
Now that you have your new LCD Monitor or Widescreen TV, it is important to
use the right products to clean it. The wrong cleaner can damage the
surface of your display. However, there are many new cleaning products on the market designed especially for
LCD displays. We recommend using a soft, lint-free cloth and a special LCD
cleaner. (You can also use a cleaner that
contains any of the following: Water, Vinegar (mixed with water), or Isopropyl alcohol). BUT Do Not Use cleaners that contain any of the following agents: Acetone, Ethyl alcohol, Ethyl acid, Ammonia, Methyl chloride!
Important:
Do not spray any liquids directly on the LCD screen. Always apply the
solution to your cloth first, not directly to the parts you are cleaning.
Always use a soft cotton cloth. Some materials, such as paper towels or old
rags can cause scratches and damage the LCD screen.

LCD Technology: Response Time - Enabling
crisp full-motion video
With the recent widespread use of PC and online games, and PCs equipped with
DVD drives give users more opportunities to see moving images such as those
in 3D games or action movies on screen. This increase in motion picture
content means computer monitors must be able to display not only still
images, but moving ones as well. Manufacturers and IT publications often
cite a fast response time as an indication that a display can play videos or
games with little or no blurring. Hence, we would like to share with you
what response time is, and how helpful it is in determining how well an LCD
display (TV or Monitor) can portray moving images.

What Is DDC2B?
The Display Data Channel or DDC is a digital connection between a computer
display and a graphics adapter that allows the display to communicate its
specifications to the adapter. The standard was created by the Video
Electronics Standards Association (VESA). The purpose of this standard
is to define a communications channel between an electronic display (e.g.
CRT, LCD, etc. displays) and a host system. The channel may be used to carry
configuration information to enable ‘plug & play’ and allow optimum use of
the display. The channel may also carry display control information.
Today’s computing and consumer electronic
environments demands that systems offer user-friendly set-up. With the
growing popularity of intuitive and simpler software user interfaces, hardware
manufacturers are responding with plug-and-play systems and peripherals.
However, for the user to receive full benefit from these advances,
standardization is necessary. VESA, as the prominent standards organization
for graphics subsystems, has developed a communications channel between the
host and the display. This communication channel offers basic configuration
information plus a standard way of communicating advanced functionality.
The current version of DDC, called DDC2B,
is based on the I²C bus. This is a serial bus that allows multiple bus
masters, although DDC2B allows only one master – the graphics adapter. The
monitor (e.g. a CRT or LCD) contains a read-only memory (ROM) chip
programmed by the manufacturer with information about the graphics modes
that the monitor can display.
Dual Monitor
Technology
Few PC users have ever experienced the huge productivity boost that comes
from using multiple monitors on the same PC. Ironically, many of
today's PC have the capability already installed, and Windows (since 2000)
natively supports dual monitors. Configuring dual monitors is so easy: just use
the second video port (if there are two separate ports installed), or add a
second video card or better yet, a video card that has dual DVI ports.
Then plug in your second monitor, change a couple of simple Windows settings,
and you have double the Windows Desktop. This lets you have your
spreadsheet and email visible at the same time, or PowerPoint and Photoshop.
The combinations are endless. And since most of the overhead is
handled by the video card, there is little significant impact (if any) on
system performance. Dual Monitors is one of the simplest, yet most
amazing productivity boosters you can add to your PC! Optionally, you can use a dual monitor stand and recover your workspace in the process!
